Pupils Montessori School Tuinstad Schiebroek work for for Upendo Daima
Two weeks of activities for Upendo Daima at Montessori school Tuinstad Schiebroek Rotterdam.
The ten-year-old Ruben and his friends are closely involved in the ups and downs of the street children and the activities of Upendo Daima. They therefore organized a project week at school.
On Thursday 7 they gave a presentation in all 13 classes. Pupils from the age of 4 to 12 are now going to raise money and the teachers will teach the children about Africa.
Highlight will be a sponsored run for all children of the school.
In January 2018 UD staff went for team building day at Avashi Beach in Mwanza, about 5km from Malimbe Family. The main theme of the day was to exchange ideas, limitations and challenges in our work and to have the opportunity to express worries, challenges and achievements. But there was also time to relax and have informal talks. It was a real useful and informative event, which is always organized in the beginning of the year whenever our financial position does allow it.

The Moordeich sponsor run

Each student had sought a sponsor who had to pay him for each 800 -meter lap an agreed amount. The most eager runner made it to 24 laps, the equivalent of 19.2 kilometers.
